Nigerian Dwarf Goats
These little goats are truly remarkable animals. Despite their small stature they can produce a large amount of milk. As much as two quarts per day or more! Their milk is higher in butter fat than most dairy breeds (normally around 6% but up to 10%.) Besides drinking, the milk can be used for many purposes from soaps to delicious cheeses. Nigerian dwarf goats take up less space and consume less food than larger breeds. This makes them ideal for small farms or properties. They are also love to forage making them very effective "green" brush and weed clearers. If you are looking for a lawn mower get a sheep, if you need a brush wacker get a goat! Nigerian dwarf goats have been gaining popularity not just for their usefulness. One look at these little guys and it's hard not to get hooked. They come in just about any coat color/ pattern you can imagine and can even have pretty blue eyes! They are also typically docile making them an excellent choice for families with children. Nigerian dwarfs are an approved dairy goat by the USDA so they also can be used for FFA and 4H. We love these little goats! Whether you want cute little companions or quality milk producers, we think you will love them too. Things to know With so many great traits it's hard to imagine not wanting a cute little goat right? Well here are some things to consider before buying a goat.
